-I will not post this multiple times, even though my friends have said this to me (or a double header) multiple times.

-Unfortunately, no sons would be born to this individual, so we will never know if she was serious.

“I would like to watch the Nebraska/Oklahoma Big 12 Championship game-what is the channel for ABC in Stockholm? What do you mean you don’t have ABC? How do you watch college football?”
“I am SO pi**ed that my baby is due 2 weeks before the Badger/Gopher football game and that I can’t go to Madison. We will be there for sure in 2 years.”

-That is right, my mom has her own TV for watching sports that my dad does not get to control.
This was a long, MN sports program free weekend with the Gophers on break for finals and the Vikings playing MNF. This does not mean that I did not find a way to incorporate my MN sports craziness into my weekend.
Of course I need to make some Minnesota M sugar cookies for my little cousin’s bake sale (the cookies on the football shaped platter were a HIT by the way. Any naysayers who claim there are not any hard core Gopher fans out there didn’t see the folks fighting over my cookies). Please ignore the fact that the cookies are more orange than maroon. It did not matter to the hard core Gopher fans that fought over the cookies.
What MN Christmas would be complete without a MN sports themed tree? My sports crazy co-workers were my influencers here…so I can’t claim complete craziness. Unfortunately, we lost the office tree decorating contest….what??? Dumb Boise State fan contest judges.
I also figured I would venture out and do some Christmas shopping for myself. I completely justified my purchase of a maroon North Face down jacket because I did not have an appropriate Gopher coat to wear to the football games (and it was on sale-duh). Yes-I did not have an appropriate Gopher WINTER coat to wear to the 2-3 football games PER YEAR where I would need a down jacket. Oh well, it is cute and I suppose I can wear it on my way to Gopher basketball games. I also purchased my FOURTH MN Gopher stocking hat. All my other stocking hats don’t have the matching scarf that I also purchased…completely justified.
